Michael J. Bayern is an accomplished attorney and managing member at Potter Bayern Law, where he represents business owners, entrepreneurs, and investors in complex business, commercial, and real estate litigation. With extensive litigation and courtroom experience, Michael counsels clients on a wide range of business and real estate disputes, including contract breaches, partnership and shareholder disputes, business torts, and real estate litigation. He has successfully represented businesses and individuals in high-stakes litigation, leveraging his deep knowledge of corporate law, insurance issues, and commercial transactions to help clients mitigate risk and achieve favorable outcomes.

Prior to joining Potter Bayern Law, Michael worked at prominent law firms handling commercial litigation and insurance-related matters. His background in insurance defense and risk assessment provides him with a distinct advantage in advising businesses on contractual liability, commercial disputes, and real estate conflicts. His experience includes litigating matters involving commercial leases, real estate transactions, construction defects, and financial disputes, making him a trusted advocate for business owners navigating complex legal challenges.

Michael began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Orlando, Florida, where he gained invaluable courtroom experience handling jury trials, hearings, and negotiations. This foundation in litigation allows him to aggressively represent his clients in commercial and real estate disputes, whether through trial advocacy, mediation, or arbitration.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts in Crime, Law, and Justice, with a minor in Sociology, from Pennsylvania State University. He then obtained his law degree cum laude from American University Washington College of Law, where he served as Vice President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Society and was a national semi-finalist in the American Bar Association Arbitration Competition—demonstrating his skill in negotiation and dispute resolution.

Beyond his legal practice, Michael is committed to supporting business owners and entrepreneurs in protecting their investments and ensuring their businesses thrive. In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.
